2. Data processed

Browsing data

Computer systems and the hosting platform may process technical data connected with browsing, such as the IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type, device information and any data relating to errors or security. This data is normally generated through the use of internet protocols.

Data provided voluntarily

When a user contacts Submeet by email, certified email (PEC), telephone or WhatsApp, the contact details and information included in the message are processed. The form in the Training area does not send data to the website: it prepares a draft in the user’s email application, which the user can review before sending.

3. Purposes and lawful bases

  • Website operation and security: delivery of pages, prevention of misuse, diagnosis of errors and protection of systems. Lawful basis: the controller’s legitimate interest and the technical necessity of providing the service.
  • Handling enquiries: responding to questions, proposals for collaboration or preliminary requests. Lawful basis: steps taken at the data subject’s request prior to entering into a contract, or the legitimate interest in managing communications.
  • Compliance with legal obligations and protection of rights: where necessary to comply with statutory requirements, respond to requests from authorities or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Lawful basis: legal obligation or legitimate interest.

Data collected through the website is not used for automated decision-making or commercial profiling.

4. Provision of data

Technical data required for browsing is processed automatically. Providing data through the contact channels is optional; however, if essential information is not provided, Submeet may be unable to respond appropriately.

5. Recipients and service providers

Data may be processed by persons authorised by Submeet and by service providers supporting hosting, technical maintenance, email or other IT services, appointed as processors where required. It may also be disclosed to advisers, public bodies or authorities in the circumstances provided for by law. Data is not made publicly available.

6. External links and services

The website contains links to Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp. These services are not embedded in the pages and are not activated automatically by the website. If a user selects a link, they access an external platform that processes data under its own privacy notice and may transfer it outside the European Economic Area.

7. International transfers

Some technology providers may process data in countries outside the European Economic Area. Where a transfer is subject to the GDPR, it must take place on the basis of an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another safeguard provided for by Articles 44 and following of the GDPR.

8. Retention

Technical data is retained for as long as necessary for the operation, security and diagnosis of the service, in accordance with the hosting platform’s settings. Communications are retained for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and, if a relationship is established, for the period required to administer it and comply with any legal obligations. Data required to protect a right may be retained until the relevant limitation periods have expired.

9. Data subjects’ rights

Where provided for by the GDPR, data subjects may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and may object to processing. They may also withdraw any consent previously given, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.

Requests may be sent to info@submeet.eu. Data subjects may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.

10. Updates

This notice may be updated following changes to the website, the services used or applicable legislation. The date shown above identifies the published version.
